Internet Users Guide To Spyware Freeware

by Matt Jones

Is your computer showing symptoms of spyware infestation? Is your internet connection running slower? Pop ups getting in the way when you’re working? Are you concerned about your identity or financial information being stolen? If you answered yes to any of these questions, it’s time to investigate spyware removers and consider joining a growing number of people who chose to download free spyware removers from the internet.

If you’re looking for spyware freeware on the internet there are several sources. Use caution. You must do your research on any product you choose, since some products can do more harm than good in terms of clearing your computer of spyware. Some spyware removal packages can miss , or worse yet, ignore some spyware while installing spyware of its own.

Always get recommendations and never download spyware freeware from an un-reputable source. Bear in mind that some freeware, while it may scan for and detect all spyware on your computer, it doesn’t always remove it. It may charge a fee to remove any spyware it finds, or you might have to look around for another freeware download that will remove it for free. It could save a lot of time and hassle to pay upfront for one that does both.

If you do consider paying for software rather than using a freeware package, realize that there are benefits in doing that, rather than using for freeware. You are more likely to get a software package that will do the job properly. These software packages are usually tested and meet either industry or company standards. Since more time has been spent developing and testing spyware removal packages intended for sale, the probability of getting a stable product is increased.

As with any purchase, you must do your research and your homework. There are always charlatans out there who claim they know it all and will con you into believing them. Ask questions and research any claim that sounds too good to be true. It probably is.

Once you’ve made your decision on a package, you need to carefully follow the directions. If the software is not run correctly, you can end up with a partial scan or a failure to destroy all the spyware properly.

You might think running updates for your spyware removal software is unnecessary once you’ve run it. These updates are important since they usually catch additional spyware and spyware that’s got a new variation. If you don’t do this, you can easily end up back where you started at the beginning of the clean up process.

Spyware removers are vital for the protection of your PC. And, while spyware freeware may be the removers of choice, it’s always advisable to purchase software from a reputable source rather than downloading freeware versions. That way, you can be sure that you’re getting the best protection possible, and can help prevent spyware from infecting and damaging your PC.

COMPUTER SLOWED DOWN? Clean things up and get computer speed back.

by Conrad Blomberg

Users often complain that their new machine has slowed down after running their new computer for a time. It just does not run as fast as it did on Day 1.

What is the cause? And, further, what can be done to speed it up again?

The problem is very apt to be in the Registry of your Windows operating system. OK, but what is the Registry?

The Windows Registry is a database which stores settings and options for Microsoft Windows operating systems. It contains information and settings for hardware, operating system software, most non-operating system software, and per-user settings.

The registry contains two basic elements: keys and values.

Registry Keys are similar to folders - in addition to values, each key can contain subkeys, which may contain further subkeys, and so on. Keys are written with a syntax similar to Windows’ path names, using backslashes to indicate levels of hierarchy.

An example might be (you do not actually need to read this if you do not want to– it will not solve anything):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindows refers to the subkey “Windows” of the subkey “Microsoft” of the subkey “Software” of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key.

The most common PC troubles are found usually at locations spread throughout your PC. Now that we see the cause, what is the solution to the problem?

You should get a SCANNER which allows you to scan for invalid registry entries that could be causing your PC to become creakily slow. This is software which will show you where the errors exist, and what potential problems they might cause.

Good scanner software will then repair the problem and your sloggingly slow computer will suddenly find itself running at top speed again.

The result is that you and your now lightning fast computer will be happy as clams in a mud bank. Well, that is just a saying … computers just ABHOR mud.
